Ten kilometres from the CBD, next door to Griffith University, and everything you need within a walk — here's what life in 4122 actually looks like.

Upper Mt Gravatt sits about ten kilometres south-east of the Brisbane CBD, wedged between Toohey Forest and one of the city's biggest shopping centres. Thanks to Griffith University up the road, it's long been a student suburb — quiet residential streets, good buses, and everything practical close by. Genesis 1 sits on the corner of Logan and Dawson Road, right in the middle of it.

Westfield Mt Gravatt — everyone calls it Garden City — is walking distance from your front door. Supermarkets for the weekly shop, a huge food court for cheap dinners, cinemas, banks, phone shops, and a medical centre. It's also one of the best places on the southside to find casual and part-time work: hundreds of retailers, all a ten-minute walk from home.

Garden City is a major public transport interchange. From the Upper Mount Gravatt busway station, the Brisbane Metro M1 runs every 5–10 minutes through the day along the South East Busway — one stop to Griffith University, then straight through to South Bank and the CBD in about fifteen minutes. On weekends it runs around the clock from Friday evening to Sunday evening, so late nights in the city don't need a taxi budget.

Genesis 1 has its own pool and 24-hour gym, and the neighbourhood backs it up. Hibiscus Sports Complex — a short walk away — adds indoor courts, three more pools, a squash centre and a skate park. Behind it all is Toohey Forest, with bush walking and mountain-bike trails, and the Mt Gravatt summit lookout for the best free view of Brisbane's skyline.
