1. What do I need to do to reserve a room?
Complete the Online Rental Application Form.
Pay a holding deposit of 2 weeks rental. We will issue a trust account receipt and post to your postal address.
(Please note you must provide a parent or guardian address and contact details or your application will not be accepted.)
2. What do I need to pay before I move in?
The bond is 4 weeks rental.
Pay holding deposit of 2 weeks rental.
3. How many people live at Genesis 1?
A maximum of 174 students
4. What rules and regulations apply?
Standard tenancy regulation under the Residential Services Authority and Body Corporate by-laws.
Please also refer to the Genesis 1 Resident Handbook.
5. What about the and telephone?
This is separate from your rental amount.
Genesis 1 has an in house phone system which allows calls between units or externally. Each student will have their own private phone number for their bedroom.
External calls will require pre-payment.
6. High Speed Internet?
High speed internet is included in rental to 3 gig per month.
Larger download plans are available.
7. Where is the laundry?
There is a separate laundry in each apartment fitted with washing machine, dryer and laundry tubs. Excessive use will result in additional electricity charges.
8. Is car parking available?
Car parking is available. Genesis 1has a basement car park. If you wish to secure a car park space it will cost $5.50 per week (If semester is paid for in advance) or $7.70 per week if casual parking required.
9. What other facilities are available?
We have a recreation room for you to relax and hang out with your friends

10. Can I make a request for flat mates to live with?
Yes, at Genesis 1 we want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed in their new home. We will do our best to accommodate friends/flatmates where possible.
11. What do I need to bring?
Linen - sheets/towels, personal items and consumables.
